HP Tan has been practicing herbal usage since his childhood and developed a natural liking towards planting in general and herbal plants in particular. He first got cured of his ear infection by using a plant leaf. And that incident remained in his memory and developed into this brilliant idea to help people get cured of various sicknesses the natural way.

Thus, he researched into the various plants that has medicinal properties and also went through a Certificate course in Universiti Putra Malaysia (then called Universiti Pertanian Malaysia or the Agriculture University of Malaysia).
